Must Read

A Libyan woman from Benghazi who identified herself as Eman al-Obeidy pushed her way into Tripoli’s Rixos Hotel, which houses members of the foreign press, asking to speak with reporters from Reuters and The New York Times.

“Look at what the Qaddafi men did to me,” she said, before proceeding to reveal an array of bruises and scars which she claimed were inflicted upon her during a brutal gang rape she endured while being held by Qaddafi’s militia for two days.

Ms. Obeidy told reporters she was stopped on the outskirts of Tripoli and taken away. “I was tied up, and they defecated and urinated on me. They violated my honor.” She eventually managed to escape, but her friends were not as lucky. “They are still there, they are still there,” Ms. Obeidy said, pleading for their release.
As reporters moved in to ask questions, security officials and hotel staff attempted remove Ms. Obeidy from the building by force, throwing punches and kicks, brandishing guns and knives, breaking equipment, and seizing a recording device. Security guards managed to grab hold of Ms. Obeidy, dragging her into a white car as she shouted “they are taking me to jail, they are taking me to jail.”

A government spokesman later said the woman appeared to be drunk and mentally ill, adding that “her safety of course is guaranteed.” Concerning her claims of torture, the spokesman said authorities were investigating the possibility that they were “fantasies.” Charles Clover, a Financial Times reporter who attempted to shield Ms. Obeidy from the security guards, was himself placed into a van and driven to the border. The Libyan government had asked him to leave the night before due to alleged reporting inaccuracies.

Video of the altercation can be seen below:

35 years later, the behind model behind recently deceased photographer Martin Elliot’s iconic “Tennis Girl” photo finally reveals her face.

52-year-old freelance illustrator and Elliot’s then-girlfriend Fiona Walker , who says she isn’t much of a tennis fan , claimed ownership of the world-famous fanny at Birmingham’s Barber Institute of Fine Arts, where the poster will be on display as part of a tennis-themed exhibition.

“It never ceases to make me smile when I see it,” Walker said. “I have no regrets about it.”

Eau de "Toilet"

Why anyone would want to pay money for this is beyond me

Inspired by Dominique Laporte’s The History Of Sh*t, “which analyses the theoretical and social implications of faeces, and its role as a building material for cosmetics,” British artist Jammie Nicholas decided to produce a perfume using his own fecal matter.

Speaking to Vice, Nicholas says his research into the subject led him to make a few surprising discoveries: For instance, that feces and certain white flowers share a common molecule, Skatol. “They’re just there in varying concentrations,” he says.

Smelling like crap doesn’t come cheap, though: A bottle of Nicholas’s shitty scent costs 65 dollar a plop. Pissing your pants in public will be quite fashionable after this.

My Baby Loves to Eat

Clocking in at a whopping 132lbs, three-year-old Chinese toddler Lu Hao is approximately five times the ideal weight for his age.

“His appetite is so good that for a meal he can eat three big bowls of rice, even larger than I and his mother,” his father is quoted as saying. “We have to let him be as if we don’t feed him he will cry non-stop,” adds his mom. Hao’s shocking weight gain , he weighed a mere 6lbs at birth , baffles doctors, who say his hormone levels are normal.

Hao, who idolizes Superman because “he can fly and beat bad men,” was asked if he would like to fly like the Man of Steel, to which he replied, sadly, “no. I am too fat.”

Full Pokemon Global Link Site Delayed Indefinitely

The Pokemon Global Link - a website that offers added online functionality to Pokemon Black and White - was originally scheduled to go live on March 30 for North America and Europe. This is no longer the case.

"As a result of the earthquake in Japan and the need to conserve energy resources, the launch date has been temporarily delayed," writes the temporary site. "When a new launch date is determined, it will be published here on the Pokemon Global Link."
So, no access to the Global Battle Union or Dream World for a while. Both of those will make for some great post-game content, but considering how huge the main game is, I think we can manage for the time being

When Celebrities Attack

Chris Brown went on this morning’s Good Morning America to talk about his new album. Naturally, the Rihanna incident was brought a number of times, much to Brown’s chagrin. Following the interview, things apparently took a turn for the belligerent, as Brown, still incensed by Robin Roberts’ line of questioning, threw a window-smashing tantrum, after which he bolted from the studio shirtless (see pic above).

TMZ reports that Brown took to Twitter to express his rage, tweeting: “I’m so over people bringing this past sh*t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullsh*t.” That tweet has since been removed.

There's An App for Hate

Exodus International, a nonprofit Christian organization that employs questionable tactics to promote “a healing alternative to those with homosexual tendencies” through Jesus Christ has launched a free iPhone app that updates users on the latest news from the world of “homosexual healing.” Unsurprisingly, Apple’s approval of the “post-gay app” has been met with criticism from LGBT groups who argue that Apple violated its own guidelines by granting a “no objectionable content” rating to a “hateful and bigoted” app.
Apple’s app guidelines released in September last year detailed rules on how the company decides what can and cannot be sold through its store: “Any app that is defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited, or likely to place the targeted individual or group in harms way will be rejected,” the company states.
Meanwhile, on the Exodus International blog, the comments are pretty great: “I love this app, it is perfect for me as a bisexual transsexual person. Perhaps someday God will love me, wait he already does because in the Bible it says to not judge people.”
